Vitalik Buterin Proposes 'Partially Stateless Nodes' for Scaling Ethereum

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has laid out a plan to address Ethereum Layer-1 scalability issues via 'partially stateless nodes'. Increasing the L1 gas limit can make full node operation challenging, but Buterin suggests changes such as EIP-4444 to store less historical data. He aims for a lighter node environment by offloading storage and modifying gas pricing. In the medium term, 'stateless verification' could further reduce data burdens.
