The Smarter Web Company Boosts Bitcoin Holdings

The Smarter Web Company, a UK web design firm shifting towards a bitcoin treasury model, has expanded its bitcoin investment by acquiring an additional 225 BTC, valued at approximately $25.9 million based on current prices. On Friday, the company announced its purchase of 225 BTC for £19,596,574 ($26.4 million), at an average price of $118,076 per bitcoin. This latest acquisition boosts the company's total bitcoin holdings to 1,825 BTC, obtained at an average cost of $109,088 per bitcoin. Additionally, the firm holds around £1,000,000 ($1.3 million) in net cash available for further bitcoin investments. With these holdings, The Smarter Web Company now ranks 26th globally among publicly listed corporate bitcoin investors, according to data from Bitcointreasuries.net. The company has also shared its interim financial report, revealing a loss of £719,566 ($968,640) for the six months ending April 30, 2025, compared to a loss of £372,640 ($501,605) in the same period the previous year. CEO Andrew Webley stated, "Alongside our core business, we believe Bitcoin is the best asset the world has ever seen. Thus, we use Bitcoin as a treasury asset for future business needs." He also noted the company has raised over £100 million in equity capital since its IPO on April 25, 2025, with no debt aside from a minor director loan.
