Strategy Acquires 7,390 Bitcoins for $765 Million, Total Holdings Reach 576,230 BTC

Bitcoin treasury company Strategy has purchased an additional 7,390 BTC for approximately $765 million at an average price of $103,498 per bitcoin, as per SEC filings. As a result, Strategy's total bitcoin holdings have grown to 576,230 BTC, exceeding $59 billion in value. These acquisitions were funded by selling common stock and preferred stock. Strategy's active accumulation strategy aligns with its ambitious capital raise plans aiming at $84 billion through equity offerings and convertible notes by 2027. Despite market fluctuations, Strategy pushes forward with its bold bitcoin acquisition plans, influencing other firms to adopt similar strategies. 70 companies have now followed Strategy in acquiring bitcoin holdings, driven by a favorable regulatory environment in the U.S. However, risks remain, as Strategy reported a $4.2 billion net loss in Q1, largely due to unrealized losses under new accounting rules.
