Assets under management in spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have soared to $109 billion, highlighting their pivotal role in opening institutional pathways to digital assets. Since their introduction, spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted steady inflows, with BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) emerging as a leader. On April 28, IBIT reported its largest inflow in three months, drawing $970 million. This indicates that Bitcoin ETFs are evolving into key allocation tools rather than mere speculative instruments. The growing acceptance of these tools worldwide is also marked by significant investments from Hong Kong's Avenir and Abu Dhabi's Mubadala, among others, underscoring a global shift toward institutional acceptance of digital assets.
