Many teams took to fan tokens and NFTs during the pandemic, yet PSG stands out as a long-term Bitcoin holder. 'We’ve integrated Bitcoin into our financial reserves,' stated Helgosson. 'Being one of the largest sports clubs globally, we lead the sports sector in this initiative.' In recent times, crypto treasures have gained popularity again as companies like Trump Media and Twenty One Capital declare their hefty Bitcoin reserves. Some firms invest in alternative cryptocurrencies, but PSG’s approach with Bitcoin is likely a nod to its predominantly young audience, as 80% of their 550 million fans are under 34. 'PSG transcends being a football club; we're a lifestyle brand,' Helgosson remarked. 'We're aligned with emerging trends, just like Bitcoin.'
