FIFA has chosen Avalanche as its Layer 1 blockchain partner to establish a new network compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Initially announced in late April, FIFA's transition from relying on Algorand and Polygon will see its digital collectibles, FIFA Collect, migrate to the Avalanche chain. Francesco Abbate, CEO of FIFA Collect and Modex, highlights that this move will enhance speed, scalability, and security, allowing for better integration and access. While no launch date has been shared, this shift follows Avalanche's recent "Avalanche9000" upgrade. During a positive market trend on May 22, AVAX, Avalanche's native token, saw a 10% increase.
