An Ethereum ICO participant has recently sold 2,300 ETH, valued at approximately $9.9 million, early Monday morning, as revealed by onchain data. According to analytics provider Lookonchain, the wallet address "0x845…a210c" transferred 2,300 ETH to the Kraken exchange, leaving the address with a balance of 1,623 ETH. This individual, originally participating in the Ethereum ICO, received 20,000 ETH for just $6,200, a sum that is now worth around $86 million. Besides this recent transfer, the address has made several prior movements, including transferring 250 ETH in December 2024, 1,000 ETH in February 2024, and 3,000 ETH in late November 2023. Ethereum's price has increased by 1.64% in the last 24 hours, trading above $4,300, marking its highest level since December 2021, as reported by The Block. The Ethereum ICO, conducted from July 22 to September 2, 2014, raised nearly $18.3 million by selling over 60 million ETH tokens at an average price of $0.31 each. Initially, 1 BTC would buy 2,000 ETH, with the price later adjusted to 1,337 ETH for 1 BTC. The funds raised, equating to 31,531 BTC, were pivotal in developing Ethereum, which launched in July 2015 with an initial supply of 72 million ETH, 83% of which was allocated to ICO investors.
